Otis Beaman was a poor farmer in Jefferson County, Wisconsin. He was approached by Anthony Conlan, who offered him a substantial amount of money for a part of his land. Beaman said that he was desperate for money to keep his farm and provide for his family.
Later, after Conlan had left, Beaman went to the compound to check what had happened to all the families he knew were up there. He sealed off the compound.
He believes that the incident with Conlan was a test from God.
He had a wife and three kids.
His face is thin and wrinkled with age. He's tall. He has wipsy grey hair and a Wilford Brimley mustache.
